Womb Shakti Dance
Ecstatic Dance & Sacred Women's Circle
Dance the wild feminine alive
Womb Shakti Dance is a sacred ecstatic dance and women’s circle.
An afternoon of womb-centred movement, voice and cacao ceremony where your body’s wild wisdom comes alive. No experience needed. All female-bodied women welcome.
Sunday 27 September 4-7:15pm
Soma Women’s Wellbeing, Dickson, Canberra
There's a fire in you that's been waiting to move.
Not the polished, managed version of you. The one underneath, wilder, freer, more alive. The part that knows how to move without permission, make sound without apology, and inhabit her body with delight.
Womb Shakti Dance is one afternoon to let her out.
A sacred women’s circle in Dickson where your body’s own wisdom awakens through movement, voice, cacao, and the deep medicine of being witnessed in your fullness. No choreography. No right way to move. Just you, finally allowed.
This isn’t only a movement practice. It’s a homecoming, three hours to feel what becomes possible when nothing in you has to perform.
For three hours, you get to be the woman who doesn’t hold back.
You’ll descend out of your busy mind and into the felt sense of your body. You’ll connect to your heart, your voice, and the sacred portal of your womb. And you’ll move as Shakti moves you, swaying, stretching, stillness, spinning, whatever wants to rise.
“There’s something so sacred about women dancing in a space where there’s no judgement, no competition, just expression and movement and fun. You could feel everybody letting go.” ~ Holly
There’s nothing to get right here. As one woman put it, the whole practice is about awakening parts of you through freedom in movement, and letting go of judgement of your body.
What Happens in a Womb Shakti Dance Circle
Ecstatic dance for women. No experience needed
Honestly, there’s nothing to do correctly. Swaying counts. Stillness counts. Lying on the floor counts. Your body already knows the way.
Most women feel a flicker of “should I be doing this?” at the start. That’s normal. It passes the moment you let other people’s voices fall away.
“I found it really confronting at first. I felt silly. But once I put other people’s expectations out of my mind and just got into it… nothing compares.” ~ Holly
You don’t need dance experience. You don’t need to move ‘correctly.’ You don’t even need to feel ready. You just arrive as you are, and I hold the space for whatever wants to emerge.
What You Carry Out With You
This is the part that surprises women. You don’t just have a lovely afternoon and return to normal. Something stays.
“Afterwards I felt on top of the world. I noticed this little fire at my solar plexus, and every time I thought about it, it made me smile. I was conscious of how much I liked my body. How much I liked being me. That fire stayed with me, it unlocked self-belief I didn’t even realise was missing.” ~ Holly
“Since the circle, I’ve felt more sovereign in my body, more direct in myself and my boundaries. Something had been bubbling to the surface, and the circle allowed me to step into it.” ~ Briony
A fire at the solar plexus. More sovereign. More direct. That’s the medicine of one afternoon, and it’s a glimpse of how you’re able to live when you keep tending it.
Womb Healing Through Movement and Voice
My journey to holding these circles began in my own body’s yearning for wild expression. Years of feminine embodiment practice, Shakti Yoga teacher training, and my work as a bodywork practitioner have woven together into this offering.
What I’ve learned is that transformation happens not through force, but through offering such unconditional acceptance that your body naturally unfurls into its wisdom. That understanding lives in every element of how I hold space, the intuitive knowing, the musical journey-weaving women find so powerful, and above all, a container where you feel completely witnessed in your authentic expression.
“To journey in the utterly safe container Kate holds is deeply nourishing, life changing and evolutionary. I come away filled to overflowing… every woman will feel the benefits of this.” ~ Aminya

After the Dance
Many women find that one afternoon awakens something they want to keep tending, that fire they don’t want to let go of. If that’s you, a similar practice lives on in a weekly rhythm through Shakti Yoga Flow, my 8-week feminine embodiment circle in Canberra, and in the deeper containers I hold through the year.

No. These circles are specifically for female bodies. The practice focuses on the unique physiology and energetics of the female body, connecting to womb space and feminine energy centers.
Yes! This is for all females. If you have had your womb removed, you still have the blueprint and energetic essence of the womb within you.
