womb & Fertility Massage
Gentle abdominal and womb massage for women. A deeply nurturing 2.5 hours of touch, warmth, and rest, in southern Canberra.
So much of a woman’s life is lived from the neck up. Thinking, planning, holding it together, getting through the day. And the centre of the body, the belly, the womb, the place that holds so much, rarely gets touched with any care at all.
This is 2.5 hours of being cared for, slowly. An invitation for the part of you that is always doing to finally put something down.
Womb and fertility massage is gentle, intentional bodywork focused on the abdomen, womb space, and surrounding areas. Women come to it for many reasons: period pain and menstrual irregularity, fertility and preconception support, tension and tightness held low in the body, recovery from a season of stress, or simply a deep longing to feel at home in themselves again.
What it can support
This is gentle, nurturing work rather than clinical treatment, and women come to it for both the physical and the felt experience:
Menstrual comfort, easing period pain, cramping, and the tension that builds through the cycle.
Fertility and preconception support, encouraging circulation to the reproductive organs and a settled nervous system, often as part of a wider fertility journey.
Abdominal and digestive ease, soft, attentive work for an area that holds so much and is so rarely touched with care.
Nervous system rest, deep relaxation for a body that has been bracing, giving, or on alert for a long time.
Reconnection, for the woman who feels she lives in her head and longs to feel at home in her body again.
“I’m a womb massage practitioner myself, and super fussy about who lays their hands on me… but with Kate I felt complete trust and was very much able to let go and deeply receive. So much energy was freed up in my pelvis and abdominal area, and I felt really centred in my womb for the days to come.” ~ Jasmine
“I’d been feeling called to manage my endometriosis in a more holistic way. Since my session, I’ve been feeling more open and lighter in myself. More uplifted. After the massage I applied as an artist to a festival gallery, which I’d always been too scared to do. And I decided to stop the pill and then had a period without the stagnant blood. I’d encourage anyone to stay open to the process — it’s quite different from a traditional massage but has real potential for healing. The whole experience was very nurturing — I really loved being wrapped up at the end and the drumming.” — Briony
What a session involves
Your session unhurried from beginning to end. There is time to arrive, to settle, to receive, and to rest afterward without rushing back into the day.
We begin with a cup of tea and a conversation about how you are and what your body needs. From there, the work usually moves through gentle back and sacrum massage to invite your body to soften, into gentle abdominal and womb massage, supported with warm oils and, if you wish, breast massage to open the heart and support the hormonal connection between heart and womb.
To close, I wrap you in a rebozo, a traditional practice of being held, and offer sound with drumming while you rest. Then there is time simply to lie still and let it land, and to share anything that arose if you’d like to. Many women say this closing is what stays with them most.
“I found them quite profound, so grounding and very healing. Each one took me on a different inner experience and I found a lovely connection with myself over this time. Kate is committed, present, and holds a wonderfully nurturing space. I loved her attention to detail and the sensory experiences married in with the massage.” ~ Karen
“Thank you for helping me to shift what felt like generations of pain and grief, not felt or able to be accessed for lifetimes, in addition to my own. It was a huge gift you gave me, and to all the women before, after, and alongside me, especially to my family line. You hold space so beautifully, and with great real power.” ~ Cassandra
“I came still processing a caesarean birth, anxious about the lack of sensation in my abdomen. Since the session, that area feels more alive. There’s still some numbness, but it’s less complete, and energetically it feels more positive. I was surprised by how genuine and spontaneous my reaction and my tears were. It’s a comforting but deep massage of the abdomen and chest that gets things moving that were stagnant or numb, and it’s not something you can do yourself. You really need a professional touch.” ~ Anna
A note on fertility
Many women come to womb and fertility massage while trying to conceive, often alongside other support. This work doesn’t promise a particular outcome, but gentle abdominal massage encourages circulation to the reproductive organs, and the deep rest it brings helps settle a nervous system that months of trying can leave frayed. Sometimes that softening is its own gift, and sometimes more follows.
“Huge thanks for the womb massage you gave me about a month ago. Well, great news — I’m pregnant! Very early days, but I wanted to give you the feedback on how well your massage helped my fertility. After over a year of trying, the month you gave me the womb massage, it all happened. I’ll highly recommend you to my friends!” ~ Anne
“After a traumatic birth with my first daughter eight years ago, this session felt deeply nurturing. Kate has such a gentle touch and a calm presence. I left feeling connected and cared for, and experienced some changes in my body afterwards which I believe were part of a much-needed release. I’d recommend Kate to anyone seeking healing and reconnection.” — Client

Sessions are held at my studio in Chisholm, on the southside of Canberra, serving Canberra and surrounding areas.
Please note: Your massage is offered in a dedicated, private treatment room within my family home. While most sessions unfold in peaceful quiet, you may occasionally hear brief sounds of daily family life – including voices, footsteps, or doors closing. These are typically infrequent and last only a few moments. For some clients, these sounds add to the homely, nurturing atmosphere. For others, particularly those who are sensitive to noise or feel vulnerable during bodywork, occasional sounds may feel disruptive to relaxation. Please consider your comfort level with this environment when booking.
A few things to help you book the right time:
Book when you are not menstruating.
If you are trying to conceive, book after your bleed and before ovulation.
Please wait six months after any abdominal surgery.
This treatment isn’t suitable if you have a coil (IUD) fitted.
When you book, you’ll receive an in-depth intake form so I can prepare your session around you. If you’re unsure whether the timing or the work is right for you, send me a message and we’ll work it out together.
